Have you ever been to a website and couldn’t find the logo anywhere? And if you did see a logo on their site, it just didn’t make any sense? This happens to me all the time (I won’t call anyone out…) and I am constantly wanting to create new logos for everyone! Here are my five reasons why you need a new logo.
The logo is hard to read
This seems to happen quite often. Some people have logos that the fonts are way too small, or the icons over-power the text and make it hard to read. Don’t do this! We want to be able to read your logo and not wonder what it says or what the icons mean. Come on people, get it together!
The logo looks like it’s from 1995
I know we have all seen this logo. I know the 90’s are cool and all right now, but having a logo that looks like it was made then is SO not rad, dude. Modern, sleek and simple is the way to go!
The logo is too plain
This is one of my pet peeves. Using just a plain font with no icon or picture that relates to the brand to go with it is just boring. At least have an element to your logo that is eye catching. Times New Roman isn’t going to cut it anymore.
The design doesn’t go with the business name
I know we have all seen this logo. One that just makes no sense. I see this a lot, people posting that their business is vibrant and bright but they have a brown logo with muted colors. WHAT? Your logo should match your vision and overall tone of your brand!
The logo is not in vector format
Ok, come on people. This should be a given. When creating a logo, it should be in Adobe Illustrator, and should be saved in vector format. Stop creating logos in Canva!
I hope these tips help you to create a modern, sleek logo that goes with your brand and is the perfect stamp for your business. Need a new logo? I would love to make one for you! Let’s schedule a discovery call to talk about your needs.
